Call for Presenters for TETC 2022 is now closed.

The window for submissions will close on September 8, 2022. If your submission is accepted, you will receive a code for Discounted registration of $120.00 for the Main Presenter. Vendors are not eligible to present unless your company has purchased a Vendor Package that includes a session. We appreciate your interest in presenting at the TETC 2022 Annual Conference, to be held November 30, & December 1-2, 2022, at the Embassy Suites Hotel, Murfreesboro, Tennessee!  If you require assistance or have a question at any time, please contact us at conference@teta.org

The TETC Annual Conference is the place to be for:

  • TEACHERS AND TEACHER LEADERS of all disciplines who are determined to achieve success with their students in today’s technology rich classrooms
  • ADMINISTRATORS who aspire to be effective leaders within classrooms and schools of today and tomorrow
  • TECHNOLOGY PERSONNEL who need to be on the cutting edge of technilogical innovations in K-12 education.

 

TETC 2022 Call for Educator Session Guidelines:

TETC’s professional development educator sessions provide learning opportunities that are intended to provide attendees with tools and knowledge to strengthen their professional practices.

The TETC 2022 Conference will include high-quality breakout sessions by practicing educational leaders. Our goal is to provide high-quality professional development sessions that explore and discuss critical education/edtech issues, best practices, emerging technologies, trends, and insights.

TETA values equity, diversity, inclusion, and access for all people as core principles in our work. Conference sessions will reflect and model these values in subject matter, speakers, and panels. Sessions that highlight all areas of Educational Technology are encouraged. Many popular TETC sessions are interactive, offer collaborative networking, and stimulate peer learning in a variety of forums.

 

Areas of particular interest include:

Accessibility STEM/STEAM Online and Blended Learning
Data Privacy/Security Emerging Technologies Digital Equity - Closing the Connectivity Gap
Game-Based Learning Professional Learning – Best Practices Diversity, Inclusion, & Equity
Cybersecurity Interoperability Virtual Learning- Best Practices

 

Session formats:

  • Panel Discussion: 2-4 presenters share case studies or expertise on a topic before opening to discussion and Q&A.
  • Solo Presentation: An expert on a topic shares findings, case studies, practices, or methodologies before opening to Q&A.  
  • Roundtable Conversation: Moderated group conversation on a theme or topic. Highly participatory.
  • Digital Playground: This is to display and present Makerspaces, STEM & STEAM items. Everything must be battery operated because there will be no direct power in the digital playground area. Activities should be hands-on with software or items. 
  • Workshop: Longer, a participatory session in which participants are guided through engaging activities presented during the first day of the TETC 2022 Conference on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021.

 

 

Successful Proposals:

Due to the significant number of education session submissions, we receive each year, not every proposal can be selected. Strong submissions feature:

  • Address a current or important topic in education.

  • Explain how his or her work has been implemented in a classroom, school, or district.

  • Demonstrate creativity and show how an innovative strategy addresses a challenge.

  • Clearly define the outcomes for participants.

 

Proposal Requirements:

  • All speakers must agree to register for the conference by September 8, 2022, to attend the 2022 Conference in person, and to present an in-person session. 

  • The first presenter of an accepted in-person session will get a discounted registration fee of  $120.

  • Sessions titles and descriptions need to be short and to the point. 

  • Session lead please select all areas of interest when submitting.
