Announcement from TETA President, Mark Howell

Good afternoon TETA Family.  It is with mixed emotions that I share the news of Dr. Terry Sue
Fanning's retirement in December 2023. After almost 4 years of dedicated service and countless contributions
to our organization, she has decided to embark on a new chapter of her life. Please see her statement below:

"At the April TETA Board meeting, I informed the Board that I would not seek a 5th year

as the TETA Executive Director. TETA is an organization that is very near and dear to my

heart, and I have been honored to serve as the Executive Director for almost four years.

In these almost four years, I have had the opportunity to attend meetings with TETA members

in all three regions, be a part of many Zoom events as we worked through COVID days,

meet the most supportive vendors, support the most passionate educators, and work with

the best TETA Board and staff members. TETA is changing and growing, and I LOVE it! I also

love 8 precious grandchildren, the barn cats, the beagle puppies, the growing herd of goats,

my now-retired husband, and the chance to support my family through challenging health issues.

It is time to be home. Thank you to all my TETA family and friends; I have been blessed to be a

part of TETA and work side-by-side with you for over 20 years. So many memories I will treasure

for a lifetime! Thanks to all of you! "

Dr. Fanning has been an invaluable leader of our organization, and her departure will undoubtedly leave a
void that cannot be easily filled. Throughout her tenure, she has consistently demonstrated professionalism,
flexibility, and unwavering commitment to growing the work in educational technology.
